I will start my comment with this quote :''Journalism is part of every process...'' Journalism is important as they put their lives in danger during a terrorist attack or a natural disaster, when the world goes to war,when a tornado destroys a small town, media are there just to inform us about it. Journalism is important as it has the power to speak boldly against wrong politicians. Without media our lives are incomplete. In conclusion I would like to say that the media plays a very important role in our lives and in the democratic society. It helps us to know about how the poor people are being exploited by the richer ones, how the students are being abused by the teachers, how the brutal fathers are killing their own baby in its mother's womb as it is a girl, etc. No other profession can boast becoming part of everyday life the way journalism can. In dictatorship, the media are "spokesperson" of power, which not only controls them but also use them for its own purposes...!
I would say it permits the high rhythm of modern world. Everyone is informed and processes launch faster. without that, we would be hundred years aback.
Journalism--especially the way it is practiced now on a global scale, and in collaboration with citizens from all over the world--is essential for humanity's evolution because it enables us to seek and expose truths, ask and answer questions, dig, discover, explore, and make sense of the everyday events that happen everywhere around the world.
Journalism is important because -due to its ubiquitous presumption of realism- it has a major influence over the shaping of public's judgement and thus it determines political, financial and social developments wordwidely.
Effective journalists offer multiple perspectives on an issue, allowing readers/viewers to make their own judgments and giving future generations a look at how decisions were made now.
Journalism is a link between vivid world and people, connects people in the same time with reality around them and around world and that gives power to people, to be informed means to be a powerful person for your own life and knowledge offers you the possibility to chose the best option/ opportunity for you.
Journalism is important because it gives us the instruments to learn, to investigate, to explore and express different viewpoints, all in order to inform the public as accurately as possible.
